DID YOU KNOW?
For English learners, continuing to speak their home languages helps them learn English!

More than 1 in 5 people (21%+) speak a language other than English at home – and that percentage is rising!

Bilingualism is a brain advantage. Research shows multilinguals to be more creative and better at planning and complex problem solving, when c ompared to monolinguals.

Research shows that children who have a strong foundation in their home language more easily learn a second language. That means speaking Vietnamese, Arabic, or Somali at home can actually HELP you learn English!

People who speak more than one language are in high demand in the job market, and there is evidence multilinguals may even earn more money just for having this additional skill.
